MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING
November 27, 2001
Minutes
Mayor Butto called the session to order at 8:10 p.m. and opened the meeting, stating that the meeting was being held in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, P>L> 1975, c. 231, and has been duly advertised.
The Clerk was asked to call the roll.
Present were: Committeewoman Kaman, Committeeman Zitone,
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo, Committeeman Krebs
Mayor Butto,
Atty. Murphy, Clerk Felter
Absent: None
All present were asked to join in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Approval of Minutes: Executive Session 10-23-01
Regular Minutes 10-23-01
Committeeman Zitone made a motion to approve the above mentioned minutes.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote:

Ordinances:
First Reading:
Ord. 2001-21 An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 76 of the Code of the Township of Montague, Entitled
AZoning@ For The Purpose of Amending and Supplementing the Revised General Ordinance to Provide Standards for the Construction and Installation of FencesDeputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to table any action on the above Ordinance 2001-21 and return it to the Land Use Board with corrections.
Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous roll call vote:

R2001-87 Outside Lien Redemptions
R2001-88 Acceptance of Torborg Property
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to approve the above referenced resolutions.
Committeeman Zitone seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous roll call vote:

Fayth A. Ruffin, P.C. - Community Corp. of High Point
The Committee acknowledged receipt of a letter from
Ms. Fayth A. Ruffin, P.C. attorney for the Community Corp. of High Point and requested that a letter be sent requesting a meeting be set up to discuss the problems set forth in the letter.
Blue Ridge Rescue Squad - Donation
Committeeman Zitone made a motion to table any action on the above mentioned request until the up-coming budget meetings.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous roll call vote:

Re-authorization of Clean Communities Funds
Committeeman Zitone made a motion to send a letter in support of the re-authorization of the Clean Communities Funds.
Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Approval of Vouchers - Payment of Bills:
Committeeman Zitone made a motion to pay all the bills with the exception of the bill from Phillips for work on the fire truck.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous roll call vote:

Public Participation
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to open the meeting to public participation.
Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Desmond Finegan
Mr. Finegan, Senior Citizen Advocate and also President of the Montague Senior Citizens, thanked the Committee for naming his candidates Senior Male Citizen and Senior Female citizen of the of year 2000.
Richard Clauberg
Mr. Clauberg suggested to the Committee that perhaps they should pay one half of the bill from Phillips for work done on the fire truck and have our attorney contact them about adjusting the bill.
Mayor Butto asked if there was anyone else who wished to address the Committee. There was not.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to close public participation.
Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to go into Executive Session.
Committeeman Zitone seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Committeeman Zitone made a motion to close the executive session and return to the regular meeting.
Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
