Advised the Committee that the present fund for uncollected taxes is costing you .163 cents. She went on to say that the municipal rate could be reduced to .14 cents if your collection rate was up to 99 per cent. Mrs. Jerger also pointed out that the Township is under cap and
Athat=s a good thing.@ Mrs. Jerger also thanked the Committee for passing the Underage Drinking Ordinance. She stated that as a mother and grandmother she=s aware of the dangers that face families today.Al Gorlock-Hidden Hollow Road
Mr. Gorlock again came to the Committee regarding the parties and barn fires, that are held by teenagers, at the top of Hidden Hollow Road. He told the Committee both he and his wife carry trash bags when they go for a walk and pick up the garbage left after one of these parties. He can no longer take his dog with him as he is afraid the dog will cut his paws on broken glass. When asked about the Troopers going up there, Mr. Gorlock said the Troopers sit at the bottom of the Road and of course when the kids see them they keep going. The parties seem to be held on Saturday nights after dark, although it could be any day. Mr. Gorlock said at the moment there is a pick-up truck load of garbage that has been dumped there. Deputy Mayor Barbagallo suggested that as Mr. Gorlock is the last house on the road, the Township put a cable across the road and give any property owners a key to the lock. After lengthy discussion, the Committee decided to contact the State Police and also the Sheriff
=s Department and make them aware of what=s going on and also that it is a Road owned by the Township on which the drinking is going on. The Committee thanked Mr. Gorlock for this information.Mayor Butto asked if anyone else would like to speak. There was no one.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to close public participation.
