MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING
May 8, 2001
Minutes
Mayor Butto called the session to order at 8:00 p.m. and opened the meeting, stating that the meeting was being held in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, P>L> 1975, c. 231, and has been duly advertised.
The Clerk was asked to call the roll.
Present were: Committeewoman Kaman, Committeeman Zitone,
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo, Committeeman Krebs
Mayor Butto,
Atty. Murphy, Clerk Felter
Absent: None
All present were asked to join in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Approval of Minutes: April 10, 2001
Ordinances:
First Reading:
Ord. 2001-016 Salary Ordinance
Committeeman Krebs made a motion to adopt Ord. 2001-016.
Committeeman Barbagallo seconded the motion.
Discussion:
Committeeman Zitone asked for a discussion.
Committeeman Zitone stated that he felt a 2% increase was not necessary this year and there have been increases for the past several years and that any increase will come from tax dollars. He also stated that he would rather see
Amerit@ raises as apposed to Aacross the board raises.@ A lengthy discussion ensued.The motion was carried by a roll call vote:
