MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE REORGANIZATION MEETING
January 5, 2002
Minutes
Municipal Clerk Helen Felter called the session to order at 1:15 p.m. and opened the meeting, stating that the meeting was being held in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, P>L> 1975, c. 231, and has been duly advertised.
Present: Committeewoman Kaman, Committeman Zitone,
Committeeman Barbagallo, Committeeman Krebs,
Committeeman Zitone
Stephen Edelstein, Esq.,Helen Felter, Municipal Clerk
All present were asked to join in the Pledge of Allegiance
Stephen Edelstein, Township Attorney then read the Statement of Certification.
Before the start of the meeting, Mr. Edelstein administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected Committeeman Joseph Butto, who was elected to a three (3) year term.
Clerk Felter asked if anyone on the Committee would like to place a name in nomination for the position of Mayor for the year 2002.
Committeeman Zitone nominated Joseph Butto.
Committeeman Barbagallo seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Stephen Edelstein, Esq. then administered the Oath of the Office of Mayor to Joseph Butto.
Clerk Felter then turned the meeting over to the newly sworn Mayor, Joseph Butto.
Mayor Butto asked for nominations for Deputy Mayor.
Committeeman Krebs nominated Joseph Barbagallo as Deputy Mayor.
Committeeman Zitone seconded the motion.
The motion was passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Mr. Edelstein, Esq. then swore in Deputy Mayor Joseph Barbagallo.
The following one year appointments were made:
Township Attorney:
Committeeman Krebs made a motion to appoint Stephen Edelstein, Esq. and his firm.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.
The motion passed by a unanimous roll call:

Special Counsel:
Committeewoman Kaman made a motion to appoint David Wallace as Special Counsel.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous roll call vote:

Bond Counsel:
Committeeman Krebs made a motion to re-appoint John Draikiwicz as Bond Counsel.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.

Municipal Prosecutor:
Committeeman Krebs made a motion to re-appoint Mark Hontz
as the Municipal Prosecutor.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.
The motion passed on a unanimous roll call vote.

Alternate Municipal Prosecutor:
Committeewoman Kaman made a motion to appoint David Wallace as
Alternate Municipal Prosecutor.

Committeeman Zitone made a motion to appoint Ferraioli, Wiellcotz, Cerullo & Cuva.

Township Engineer:
Committeeman Barbagallo made a motion to appoint KSM Engineering as the Township engineer.
Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Engineer for Tax Maps:
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to appoint Chuck LeDuc as the Township Engineer for Tax Maps.
Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Deputy Municipal Clerk:
Committeeman Krebs made a motion to appoint Patricia Wilcox as
Deputy Municipal Clerk.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.

Committeewoman Kaman made a motion to appoint Bob Benson as
Sergeant At Arms.

Constables:
Committeeman Zitone made a motion to appoint Bob Benson,
and Terry Snyder as Township Constables.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Dog License Official:
Committeeman Krebs made a motion to appoint Helen Felter as the Dog License Official.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Animal Control Officer:
Committeeman Zitone made a motion to appoint Wantage Township as
Animal Control Officer:
The motion was seconded by Deputy Mayor Barbagallo.
The motion was passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Tax Search Officer:
Committeeman Krebs made a motion to appoint Frances Multari the Tax Search Officer.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a roll call vote.

Assessment Search Officer:
Committeeman Krebs made a motion to appoint Helen Felter as the Assessment Search Officer.

Clean Communities and Solid Waste Coordinator:
Committeeman Krebs made a motion to appoint Dorothy Ames as the
Clean Communities and Solid Waste Coordinator.
Committeewoman Kaman seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Financial Coordinator for Senior Citizens:
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo a motion to appoint Desmond Finegan as the Financial Coordinator for Senior Citizens.
Committeeman Zitone seconded the motion.
The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote.
Zoning Officer:
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to appoint Frank Walsh as the Zoning Officer.
Committeewoman Kaman seconded the motion.

Committeeman Krebs made motion to name the New Jersey Herald and the Sunday Herald as the Official Newspapers for the Township.

Committeewoman Kaman made a motion to name Committeeman Krebs
the 208 Representative for the Township.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo seconded the motion.
