MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING

November 23, 2004

Minutes

Mayor Butto called the session to order at 8:00 p.m. and opened the meeting, stating that the meeting was being held in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, P>L> 1975, c. 231, and has been duly advertised.

The Clerk was asked to call the roll.

Present were: Committeeman Sarocco, Deputy Mayor Barbagallo, Committeeman Krebs, Mayor Butto,

Atty. Murphy, Clerk Felter

Absent: None

Excused: Committeeman Zitone

All present were asked to join in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Second Reading:

Ord. 2004-13 Funding for New Air Conditioner Compressors

Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to adopt Ord. 2004-13.

Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.

Public Hearing:

Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to open the public hearing.

Committeeman Sarocco seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.

There was no comment from the public.

Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to close the public hearing.

Committeeman Sarocco made a motion to adopt Ord. 2004-14.

Committeeman Soracco seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.

There was no comment from the public.

The motion to adopt Ord. 2004-14 was carried by a unanimous voice vote:

Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to adopt Ord. 2004-15.

Committeeman Sarocco made a motion to adopt the above referenced resolutions.

Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous roll call vote.

R2004-89 Distinguishes Campgrounds From Private Residential Leasehold Communities

Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to adopt R2004-89.

Committeeman Sarocco seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous roll call vote:

Old Business

Catanzaro Malfunctioning Septic System, Clove Road

The Township attorney advised the Committee of the current developments concerning the above referenced property.

New Business

Wantage Township Animal Control Contract

Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to retain Wantage Township Animal Control as Montague's animal control officers.

Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a roll call vote:

Committeeman Krebs, Mayor Butto

Nays: None

League of Municipalities Convention Reimbursement-Gail Magura

The Committee requested that Mrs. Magura submit her bills for reimbursement.

October Report-David Poe, Tax Assessor

October Report-Gail Magura, CFO

The Committee noted receipt of the above referenced reports.

Approval of Vouchers - Payment of Bills:

There were no vouchers submitted for payment.

Public Participation

Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to open the meeting to public participation.

Committeeman Sarocco seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.

Edward Iboldt

Mr. Iboldt asked the Committee what future plans they had for

Fox Hollow Road. He said improvements to the road have been promised but only loose stone had been put down. He said without this stone being oiled it will be gone by next spring. Deputy Mayor Barbagallo promised to do an inspection of the road and to bring the DPW foreman with him.

Richard Clauberg

Mr. Clauberg asked the purchase price of the property next door to the municipal building and also how many acres it was? The Committee advised Mr. Clauberg the price of the property is under negotiations but there are ten acres in the parcel.

Emma Masset

Mrs. Masset advised the Committee that Fox Hollow Road is in need of a lot of work. She also stated that she could not understand why the road was only stoned and not stoned and oiled.

Mayor Butto asked if anyone else from the public wished to speak?

There was no one.

Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to close public participation.

Committeeman Sarocco seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
