MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING
December 28, 2004
Minutes
Mayor Butto called the session to order at 8:05 p.m. and opened the meeting, stating that the meeting was being held in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, P>L> 1975, c. 231, and has been duly advertised.
The Clerk was asked to call the roll.
Present were: Committeeman Sarocco, Deputy Mayor Barbagallo, Committeeman Krebs, Mayor Butto,
Atty. Murphy, Clerk Felter
Absent: None
Excused: Committeeman Zitone
All present were asked to join in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Old Business
Speed Limits for Armstrong and Brookhaven Tracts
A motion was made by Committeeman Krebs to have Mr. Murphy, attorney for the Township, prepare an ordinance setting speed limits for the Armstrong and Brookhaven Tracts.
The motion was seconded by Committeeman Sarocco.
The motion was carried by a roll call vote:
Ayes: Committeeman Sarocco, Deputy Mayor Barbagallo,
Committeeman Krebs, Mayor Butto
Nays: None
Purchase of Foreclosed Property-Christopher Justus
Mr. Justus asked the Committee if he could purchase a piece of property owned by the Township that abuts his property. After a brief discussion, the Committee advised him they would take his request under consideration.
New Business
Housing Inspector Position
Action on the above matter was tabled until it could be determined if Mr. Walsh was interested in retaining the position and also he was still living in the area.
County Board of Health
A discussion was held concerning the possibility of entering into an inter-local agreement with another Town in order to reduce the cost of the Board of Health. Further discussion will be held at a later date.

No vouchers were presented

Public Participation
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to open the meeting to public participation.
Committeeman Sarocco seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
There was no comment from the public.
Committeeman Sarocco made a motion to close public participation.
Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
The Committee requested the Clerk to check into the insurance for the library.
Mayor Butto presented a conceptual plan presented for the
10 acres adjoining the municipal property.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to open an executive session.
Committeeman Sarocco seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
Deputy Mayor Barbagallo made a motion to close the executive session.
Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.
The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.
The meeting closed at 9:35p.m.
