MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING



November 22, 2005

Minutes



Mayor Barbagallo called the session to order at 8:20 and opened the meeting. stating that the meeting was preceded by an executive session where no action was taken and that the meeting was being held in compliance with Open Meeting Act,P>L>1975c.231 and has been duly advertised.

Committeeman Lashendock made a motion open regular meeting.

Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote.

All present were asked to salute the flag.

The Clerk was asked to call the roll.



Present were: Deputy Mayor Soracco, Committeeman Campana, Committeeman Lashendock, Committeeman Krebs, Mayor Barbagallo

Attny Welgos, Clerk Francisco



Approval of Minutes: October 11, 2005 and October 25, 2005 Regular Session and Executive

Committeeman Krebs made a motion to approve the above referenced minutes.

Committeeman Lashendock seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote.



Sealed Bid Openings For New Myrtle Drive:

Owl Contracting submitted a bid of $640,640 .

C&V Paving submitted a bid of $672060.

Mayor Barabagallo made a motion to have the attorney review the bids and award at next public meeting.

Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous roll call vote.



Resolutions:

R2005-92 TRANSFER APPROPRIATIONS

R2005-93 REFUND OF TAX COSTS



Committeeman Lashendock made a motion to adopt the above referenced resolutions.

Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.



Ordinances: First Reading

Ord 2005-25 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 76 OF THE GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MONTAGUE BEING THE ZONING CHAPTER (EXPIRATION OF ZONING PERMITS)

Ord 2005-26 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 76 OF THE GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MONTAGUE, BEING THE ZONING CHAPTER (EXPIRATION OF VARIANCES)



Deputy Mayor Soracco made a motion to adopt the above referenced ordinances, first readings.

Committeeman Lashendock second the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous roll call vote.



Old Business:

Developer impact fees : The matter is still being discussed at The Land Use Board level and is in the hands of the Land Use attorney.



New Business

No new Business was discussed.



Reports

Board of Health and Zoning Reports were submitted for November 2005.



Correspondence;

Letter from resident J Kris Krogstad regarding recent power outages.

A copy if the letter had been forwarded to the Power Company by the Municipal Clerk.



Committeeman Lashendock made a motion to amend the agenda to add the approvalof the vouchers.

Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote.

The agenda was amended to include the vouchers.



Deputy Mayor Soracco made a motion approve the vouchers.

Committeeman Lashendock seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote.



Public Participation

Committeeman Krebs made a motion open the Public participation portion of the meeting.

Committeeman Lashendock seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.



Mayor Barbagallo asked of anyone would like to speak.

Resident Marissa Sharrock of 7 New Myrtle Drive asked if there was a list of the components to the project and the costs.



Recreation Committee president Mr Teufert commented that the Library will continue to be open.

Reginald Cole commented on the parking lot lights not working and should be fixed.

Mayor Barbagallo asked if there was any further comments from the public.

Deputy Mayor Soracco made a motion to close public session.

Committeeman Lashendock seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by unanimous voice vote.



Committeeman Krebs made a motion to adjourn meeting.

Committeeman Lashendock seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by unanimous roll call vote.



The meeting adjourned.
