MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE MEETING

February 22, 2005

Minutes

Mayor Barbagallo called the session to order at 8:05 p.m. and opened the meeting, stating that the meeting was being held in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, P>L> 1975, c. 231, and has been duly advertised.

The Clerk was asked to call the roll.

Present were Committeeman Lashendock, Committeeman Krebs,

Mayor Barbagallo

Atty. Murphy, Clerk Felter

Excused: Deputy Mayor Zitone, Committeeman Soracco

All present were asked to join in the Pledge of Allegiance.

First Reading:

Ord. 2005-05 An Ordinance Regulating the Density in the R-4 Zone

Committeeman Lashendock made a motion to approve Ord. 2005-05.

Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous roll call vote:

Second Reading:

Ord. 2005-01 An Ordinance to Combine the R2 and R3 Low Density

Residential Districts Into a Single Zone

Designated R3

Committeeman Krebs made a motion to approve Ord. 2005-01.

Committeeman Lashendock seconded the motion.

Public Hearing:

Committeeman Krebs made a motion to open the public hearing.

Committeeman Lashendock seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.

There was no comment from the public.

Committeeman Krebs made a motion to close the public hearing.

Committeeman Lashendock seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.

R2005-16 Outside Lien Redemption

Committeeman Lashendock made a motion to approve R2005-16.

Committeeman Krebs seconded the motion.

The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote.

R2005-17 Rescind Refund of Tax Sale Certificate

Committeeman Krebs made a motion to table R2005-17.

Committeeman Lashendock seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.

R2005-18 Confirming the Appointment of Donald Stanaugh as Plumbing Official/Building Subcode Official

R2005-19 Confirming the Appointment of Christopher Justus as Housing Official

Committeeman Krebs made a motion to approve Resolutions 2005-18 and 2005-19.

Committeeman Lashendock seconded the motion.

The motion was carried by a unanimous voice vote.

Old Business

Catanzaro Property, 35 Clove Road

The Committee noted receipt of the above referenced correspondence.

New Business

North Jersey Planning Housing & Planning

The Committee agreed to make the requested changes to the program manual for the Small Cities Grant.

Bruno Group

It was the decision of the Committee not to take any action regarding the hiring of the Bruno Group at this time.
