Montague Recreation meetings will be held the third Monday of the month at the Montague Municipal Building at 7:00PM. All interested Township residents are welcome to attend.

Recreation Committee Meetings for 2024:
Meetings are held the third Monday of each month, unless otherwise noted, at the Montague Community Center, 275 Clove Road, Montague, NJ 
at 7 PM on:
January 15   February 19   March 18   April 15   May 20   June 17   
July 15   August 19   September 16   October 21    November 18   
December 16

Additional Meetings for the purpose of planning for Montague Day will be held at 6 PM prior to the regularly scheduled meetings at the Montague Community Center, 275 Clove Road, Montague, NJ, on the following dates:  4/15/24, 5/20/24, and 6/17/24.

High Point State Park

High Point State Park is located at the highest elevation in New Jersey, and offers scenic views of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. High Point offers superb trails for hikers and skiers and quiet spots for campers and anglers. Other activities include swimming and boating. Click here for more information.

Stokes State Forest

Stokes State Forest includes a 12.5 mile section of the Appalachian Trail, including trails up to the top of Sunrise Mountain that yield panoramic views. Other hiking trails go through the Tillman Ravine, providing views to waterfalls and possibly endangered species including the threatened barred owl.
