Recreation Committee Montague Recreation meetings will be held the third Monday of the month at the Montague Municipal Building at 7:00PM. All interested Township residents are welcome to attend.
High Point State Park
High Point State Park is located at the highest elevation in New Jersey, and offers scenic views of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. High Point offers superb trails for hikers and skiers and quiet spots for campers and anglers. Other activities include swimming and boating. Click here for more information.
Stokes State Forest
Stokes State Forest includes a 12.5 mile section of the Appalachian Trail, including trails up to the top of Sunrise Mountain that yield panoramic views. Other hiking trails go through the Tillman Ravine, providing views to waterfalls and possibly endangered species including the threatened barred owl.
